The bilingual support line provides 24 hours a day, 7 days a week support for survivors of interpersonal violence. Staff and trained advocates provide crisis intervention, emotional support, safety planning, shelter or motel advocacy, information about protective orders, and assistance in identifying appropriate resources and referrals. The support line also serves as an access point for the rest of Proyecto UNICA’s services.
Proyecto UNICA supports all survivors, friends, family and community members who care. When you call the hotline, an advocate will answer your call as quickly as possible. At Proyecto UNICA, we are dedicated to supporting you in empowering yourself as you seek safety and healing. For us, this means providing services that return power and control to you, and promote self-love, self-trust, and self-worth.
Proyecto UNICA advocates will offer you crisis intervention, emotional support, information and referrals to other services. Your advocate will hold a space to truly listen, and respond with compassion and skill.
If you’re curious about whether to call or reach out – know we are always here for you. EVERYONE deserves a life free of domestic and sexual violence.
Whether you are experiencing violence now or experienced violence long ago, we are here to support you. We understand that these issues impact people from every race, religion, ability, gender, sexual orientation, and class. We also know that violence can take many forms: emotional abuse, threats of harm, financial control, isolation and blame.
Proyecto UNICA is here for all survivors.
